Business Development Manager
Our client is a venture-backed Fintech looking for experienced Business Development Managers based within a territory to work with accountants.
As a leading UK business current account which has helped over 50,000 customers save time and money with automatic accounting, tax estimates and instant invoicing, our client’s mission is a simple one; to make it easier to run a small business. They are an early stage start up with ambitious plans for growth and are looking for talented, forward thinking individuals to join them.
Details of Role
The Business Development Manager role has been created to drive growth targets and partnering with accountants is seen as key driver to success. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing profitable sales growth within their territory - this covers both new and existing Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners – as well as quantifying the number of clients within each firm.
Two centres of excellence are currently being built for the Sales team; one in Manchester, and the other in London. There will be flexibility to work remotely however, the successful candidate must be able to travel when required.
Key Responsibilities
Identify sales opportunities for each partner
Produce accurate forecasts each month
Agree and implement client migration plans with each partner
Have a great understanding of the product as well as the needs of small businesses and partners
Ensure activity targets such as calls, emails and demos are achieved
Make partners aware of the dedicated resources available to them
Represent the client at trade shows and other events
Key Pre-Requisites
Proven track record of success working in a sales/account management role
Able to demonstrate consistent target delivery and strong commercial acumen combined with an organised and personable approach
Experience of working with a CRM system to record and track sales process
Possess excellent communication skills; able to build and maintain relationships with customers, keeping them up to date with key product developments / new features as well as any business updates as and when they happen
Proactively keep an eye on what’s happening in the accounting software/fintech space
Knowledge of accountancy and/or the workings of an accounting practice is highly desirable but not essential
