Commercial Development Director

We are looking for a senior commercial leader to deliver the UKI budget for one of our clients, a leading Anaplan Partner, aligning the outbound sales function to strategic UKI GTM.

Our client is enjoying unbelievable growth, expanding in the UK as well as internationally and are hiring for a number of roles.

They have been at the forefront of Anaplans' growth in Europe for the past decade and are continuing to grow, where the ability to talk peer-to-peer with clients is so critical for them. Whilst the role is based in the UK, there is potential to work with clients across Europe also.

You will have complete budget responsibility for Anaplan license commission sales in UKI and will manage the outbound sales function, stakeholders and will ensure consistency and strategic alignment to UKI GTM.


In terms of remuneration, the packages are very good indeed; expect a market leading salary and add-ons, with great scope for career growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for ensuring an excellent relationship with UKI Growth Land AE’s

  • Work with commercial lead to generate Upsell opportunities in UKI accounts

  • Work closely with Principal Solution Consultant ensuring our client has the best demo material and are always delivering pre-sales excellence

  • Generate Net New opportunities for UKI (Outbound, Inbound, Referrals)

  • Own the territory pipeline

  • Own the territory relationships

  • Manage sales cycles

  • Win reviews / loss reviews

  • Structured 1:1’s with commercial AE’s

  • SC feedback

  • Work with SCD to allocate opportunities to SC’s

  • Lead RFP’s

  • Manage reference requests with CSD’s

  • Manage internal sales generation team

  • Work with marketing to ensure relevant content is available


Key Pre-Requisites

  • Have held a senior management position at a SaaS/Partner company

  • Working knowledge and understanding of the professional services industry

  • An eye for detail, quickly able to spot any issues and pro-actively deal with these

  • Excellent organisation skills, able to manage many conflicting priorities at once

  • Excellent communicator

  • Previous experience in a Senior Sales Manager role

  • A high level of professional maturity, responsibility, and motivation

  • A strong team player, who is also proactive and able to work on own initiative

  • Ideally you will have held a similar role within a Professional Services organisation

Opportunity

  • Manage UKI pipeline ensuring excellent relationships across Anaplan stakeholders and delivering our client's GTM strategy

  • Working with Anaplan Account Executives ensuring all aspects of the sales cycle are managed and delivered to the highest standards

  • You will foster excellent value-add relationships with Anaplan Account Executives ensuring our client is the go-to partner

  • Ownership of the UKI budget for License Commission Sales

  • Influence the budget for Total Billable Days – working closely with CSD’s

  • Manage Outbound Sales function

  • Work closely with Marketing team to ensure consistent and strategic alignment to UKI GTM

  • Stakeholder management at various levels within Anaplan and customer organisations
